Melvin Shimm Distinguished Professor of Law
Marin K. Levy is a leading scholar of judicial administration, federal courts, and civil procedure who serves as Faculty Director of the Bolch Judicial Institute at Duke. She has testified before Congress and the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court. Before joining Duke in 2009, she clerked for Judge Jose A. Cabranes on the Second Circuit and practiced at Jenner & Block. She was Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Law & Policy Review and is an elected member of the American Law Institute.
