Evidence at UPR Law

Studying Evidence at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law equips students with a deep understanding of the rules and principles governing the admissibility of evidence in court. This foundational subject is critical for future litigators, as it addresses the standards for various types of evidence including testimony, documents, and physical evidence. In this course, emphasis is placed on the Puerto Rican legal context while also taking into account Federal Rules of Evidence. Students explore key concepts such as relevance, hearsay, witness credibility, and the processes of evidence gathering and presentation. This holistic approach ensures that graduates possess the analytical skills necessary to navigate complex evidentiary issues in their future practice.
