Reciprocity
Delaware does not accept UBE score transfers and does not allow admission on motion. All applicants must take and pass the Delaware Bar Exam regardless of prior bar admissions in other states.
UBE Advantage: Delaware uses the Uniform Bar Examination, which means your score is portable to other UBE jurisdictions. The exam consists of the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), Multistate Essay Examination (MEE), and Multistate Performance Test (MPT).
Character & Fitness
Delaware requires a comprehensive character and fitness investigation, including a background check and personal references. Applicants must also complete a clerkship requirement unique to Delaware.
